I have a recommendation: where the tracking arm bolts to the frame ( passenger side front differential) cut a diamond shaped piece of 1/2" steel plate. Mount it on the outside of the frame. Put two more bolts , on each side of the diamond shaped steel plate. This will prevent the tracking arm from literally breaking through the frame. I have had to make this modification to steel frame KW's as well.

OLDSKOOLERnWV how hard is it to replace the airbags? These don't leak but have more dry rot than I want to deal with if they break on the rode. I figure it's better to change them now while I'm not running loads Vs when i am. Going try to get all the preventative maintenance done of everything that might go.

Your bud wheels should use the what I would call cone shaped lug nuts on the front axle and on the outer rims on the drives . The inner rims are held on with inner nuts that have threads on the inside and outside with a square end to tighten them down .

I know I make it as clear as mud but when you see the inner and outer nuts you will see what i so poorly described.

Not to bad at all really, at least not after you get the first one under your belt lol. Mine is a 1995 W900L factory glider. According to the tag I found it has 1993 differentials with AG100 8 bag air ride. I just pulled it out Friday after replacing all 8 bags, bag mounts on top, shocks, brakes, brake chambers, rubber air lines, wheel seals, wheel bearings, S-cams / bushings and seals. Bolts for airbag mounts on mine take a 18MM socket / wrench, bottom of bag is (2) nuts, 3/4" socket for mine. By lifting the frame up about 3 inches above normal ride height, you can get the bag out a lot easier. I will look through my pics and post anything that may help you. All of us are here to help so don't be afraid to ask.

IMG_7342.PNG IMG_7343.PNG I used a bottle jack under the hog head to lower the axle after un bolting the top of the airbag, you need a 1 1/8 inch socket for the nut on the inside of the frame where the airline is. CLEAN the threads and add a little WD or something first, bags didn't come with these nuts so take care of them. Actually they don't come with any mounting hardware. Buying 1/2 x 13 nylock nuts will speed up the process :).
