I can say with most honesty, we've never seen such a comprehensive collection of photos. Without ground straps, the ground will find another way to complete the circuit, causing all kinds of wackiness. I had a friend with a truck just like that in Wisconsin, I'm so relieved that SOMEONE still renews my faith, KWhopper is simply the best. Good luck and the one thing I never did as a truck driver, animals. You couldn't pay me enough to do that,,![]()

Yay snow right? Lol snow storm right before i wanted to put the rest on but threw tarp on. Was gone in a few days. I always laugh ordering bulk bins of bolts somehow never have the bolt you actually need...
Have to swap turbo and exhaust manifolds as well. These are just to far pitted and ugly for my liking. Will be swapping my old 7fb engine manifold and turbo on it....
All i can say putting a starter in when its 5 degrees out isnt much fun

Pulled the pan few days later had to replace gasket. Have to get a new pan fixed the crack on this one the best i could for temp use and to hold oil and get me moving round the yard. Had to peak inside the ole engine i always worried its a junkyard engine and all... Took the worries right out of me. Shes clean actually. No wierd wear nothing i seen worries me at all. Yeah only one tube piston sprayers not dual. Boo.... cam looks good pistons good no heat wear underneath and good cross hatching still on the liners... and idk who from cat needs to hear this but f you i hate you and your puzzle piece gaskets. Did order a one piece for the new pan when i order one.

I love hauling piggys! Havent done cattle yet really want to haul bison though. Ive hauled heavy haul, flat bed, reefer, dryvan... livestock is the best do far.
This weekend plans
First (Swap starters in the 379 fix the pass turn signal and air compressor gasket)
Remove back two brake cans to install the back two air bags. Install new cans since it sat for 4 years. Then start to air up and bolt up all the air bags to the frame.
Install ground cable from engine to frame, check positive cables for wear through hopefully get engine to turn over.
Can anyone give me a idea what the solinoids are in the battery box? -
There are some different models and years here. They are not all the same.
One relay maybe to feed the starter solenoid.
Ones with red buttons are circuit breakers. Believe one is for cab power supply.Rideandrepair, High Stepper and Adisiwaya Thank this. -

I grew up in a cow wagon, no better smell than diesel fuel and cow crap...just mix it together.

By the way, that 85 flat top is probably one of my favorite KW's other than a friend of mine had an 80 model standup sleeper 3408 with a six and four that is probably my favorite KW I've ever seen. Marvin Pank went by Toby. I haven't seen him in years last I knew he was in Las Cruces. After that, I think he went back to drive for D&J I think up in South Dakota somewhere.
MACK E-6, NightWind, BoxCarKidd and 2 others Thank this. -
Whoops, afterthought it was K&J
Adisiwaya Thanks this.
