1986 GMC Astro rebuild...questions

    Another oddity I've just noticed--seems the grill is not as tall as any I've seen pic of so far, as the GMC letters are in the space between the grill and the windshield. And it's not a Titan grill...still digging to find any other pics of one like this...

    I read, in 1979, GM came out with the "SS" package ( Special Series) for Astro and Titan, featuring a much bigger grill and nicer interior aimed at O/O's that preferred bigger motors and better cooling. Kind of like the IH Eagle series.

    Ran across this today...an air line coming off one port of compressor governor(?) and not connected to anything...any ideas?
