Is this an R-12 conversion? The low side is still rather high. What are you charging this too? Did you replace the expansion valve?
-
Yes replaced it twice thought the first one was bad because the low side was high it is a 134 conversion everything is new the coils and lines were flushed out. I charged it with 3 pounds of freon.
-
Do you have cutoff valves for your heater hoses? Your normal blend door/cutoff valve may not be functioning. I would check that for one thing.
SL3406 Thanks this. -
Checked it door open valves r off. Even cleaned out the coil has all new motors and fans
-
did you change the dryer?
-
Yes everything is new accept lines evaporator coil and condenser coil

I am not sure for converted systems, but the original R-12 charge was 4.5 lbs. In 1992 was when International switched over to 134 in 9000s. The 134 charge was 3.5 lbs. Unless your converted parts specifically call for 3.0 lbs, I would recharge your system with 3.5. The change from 3 to 3.5 probably will not fix your problem. Your high side pressures are about right. With high low side pressures since you have a new expansion valve, I would look at the condenser. If the condenser is not cooling the compressed gas into a liquid the expansion valve isn't doing anything, and the change of state from a liquid back into a gas inside the evaporator is what creates the cold air. To test for a bad condenser, run the system. Spray down the condenser with a garden hose. Spray water all over it, lots of water! The cooler you get the condenser the better. If the vent temps start to get cold after a few minutes, you need a condenser.

K thanks I will try that this weekend and see what happens and let u know. I am at wits end with this thing.

you blow the coils out under the passanger seat? I had a 92 and the ac was not the best, vent set up on those are terrible.
