So when I turn on my right turn, the tail lights both flash. Left turn works fine. And its only the tail lights flashing. It's not a dim flash like a ground issue. I just replaced the turn signal switch. Same thing. I probed the connector with a test light, when ion left turn, the green and yellow wire both flash. But left turn, only the yellow flashes. More to it, when the brake pedal is down the right turn on the whole rig just lights, no flashing, but the left signal works fine. Also, when hooked to a trl, the trl tail lights do the same. Under the drivers floor I found the brake light switch, and with the right turn on, the brake light wire coming out of the switch blinks(test light). I'm confused with what could be doing this! Thank for the help if anyone can haha

Try unplugging the trailer cord from the truck to make sure it isn't shorted out.

You obviously have those two circuits shorted or mistakenly put together somewhere. First place I would look is in sleeper box on the inside part of trailer connector. Next place would be the center dash wiring module. The 9670's back in those days had issues with the wiring and receptacles in that module, especially if the truck had any age on it. If you don't find anything obvious at those two places, it's a needle in the haystack hunt by process of elimination. Un-wire your tractor tail-turn lights and start from there. I'll get you some wire circuit numbers and post back in a little while.

Wire #'s associated with 68 are tail circuits. Wire #'s associated with 55 are turn and stop circuits. You also should have a twist connector at rear of engine in r/s frame rail that separates out rear stop-tail and turns. Wire # 70c is straight off your brake switch you found under drivers side floor panel and is dedicated only to trailer stop lights. Hope this helps, good luck.

I checked out the trl plug inside the truck. Looks to be OK. What it appears to me is, off the brake light switch, there's two wires. (3 but one is 12v supply) one of the two runs bk into dash, and one I think goes to the trl plug(?). The one going to dash, when hooked to test light, flashes with the right turn signal. But does not flash with the left turn. I'm not sure if that means anything, but doesn't seem right to me. I will try to follow the wires from the signal swithlch into the dash, but there's a lot of black wire in there haha

Well...I feel like a horses #####. After digging and digging, I pulled the pigtail harness from switch to truck. Cut the two plugs off and hard wired together. Fixed. Looks like the red/brake wire had some how melted through the plug and contacted the green wire. Thanks for all the help!

    Heavyd Thanks this.
