I have a 1995 3406E cat. I normally use Baldwin filters. The past 2 oil changes have been with luberfiner filters. Engine seems like its loosing fuel pressure or cuts out completely on a hard pull. After a few seconds of coasting, the engine regains power. I am thinking its the fuel filters. Has anybody else had this problem with the luber finer filters?

Kind of but that was about eight years ago and filters change along the way. Some trucks had a primary and secondary filter. The secondary would not make the 20-25,000 mile interval without loosing power. Still use them when our Cat suppier can not deIiver at times, no complaints. I have seen problems with many different brands along the way.
Cheepest test is to put some yellow or red ones on it. If the problem persists check your supply pump, fuel suppy pressure to head.

I can promise you it is not the filters I smear by luberfiner filters. Do you have a fuel gauge in your dash. If you do then check fuel temp sensor located in the fuel manifold in between the block filter and the ECM. This sensor will cause you engine to derate

After I changed back to the Baldwins, I have not had a problem! My truck never acted like that until I used the luber finers. Trust me, I've hauled plenty of 90,000lb+ loads of corn and rice during harvest with 100* heat. No issues with the baldwins.

One more thing, the mechanic I use told me the element in the luber finers have a tendency to collapse. Maybe I got a set of bad filters? Some folks do stand behind the white filters.
