I have a 1998 Peterbilt 379 with an N14 Celect Plus. This truck has been parked for 2 years while it’s been completely restored. Yesterday I installed a New Holset Air Compressor, governor, unloaded kit, discharge line, new line from to governor to the wet tank, new signal line from the dryer to unloader, new air dryer, new pressure control valve on the secondary tank, new check valve on the primary tank and then when I started the truck it builds air up to 120 PSI and then purges how it should but after it purges it continues to leak air out the purge line and air will leak down until the compressor cuts back in to build it back up to 120 PSI. Only when the compressor kicks back in and then it stop leaking until it purges again and then it’s back leaking. I though maybe I got a bad dryer so I went back to the parts store and
Exchanged it but still having the same problem. What could it be?

Might help, not same issue tho. I had my compressor slowly poop the linens this year. Took a month or 2 . Would build pressure n sounded like a air soft machine gun. "Pffttttttttttt" until cut out. Then bleed down to cut in. Wash rinse repeat. Louder under load (blocked off the boost pressure feed till payday to keep quieter) the Sound coming from the purge valve never while charging, just at cut out. Final problem: governor sticking open n bleeding air back into, even tho the compressor was new OEM. Boss replaced the whole works before listening to me about it being compressor... the pissing of air out the back backside after cutout then kill engine, Drained to 90 then tripped closed.
