I have no power going to my compressor clutch. I've checked the clutch by applying direct current and it works. I have power to my low and high pressure switches which i have jumped anyway to avoid having simple low refridgerant issues. I had a little critter in there making nests and now i believe he's chewed some wiring somewhere because before i jumped the wires I have power going to both wires on the high pressure switch and the freeze switch which I think there should only be power going to one at a time. Does anyone have a schematic for the a/c wires or any suggestions on where the wires go from what to what? My understanding is that they go from the a/c switch to the high and low pressure switch, then to the freeze switch and out to the compressor but how can i test resistances for bad wires from the compressor back?

The high and low pressure switches need to be open to allow the compressor to run. If you jump them it will cut out the compressor. Unplug them one at a time and see if it works.

ok i'll try those options. I'm familiar with John Deere's a/c systems as I worked as a technician on them for 7 years. Those systems had to run through the switch and the switches had to be closed to allow current through. I'll try those two options tomorrow morning as that's the only time the truck is not being used.

Also, check to see if your truck has an APADS module. It will be located on the firewall on the drivers side usually near the coolant tank bracket. It isn't very big and has a green and red led. This is a little computer module that runs the A/C. Diagnostics are different if you have one.

Nope I don't have one of them. I've already checked for one of those but I haven't been able to look at the truck for a few days. I'm not sure when i'll get a chance again. Maybe when it gets hot outside again lol.
