Replaced back rear end new u joints and new axle. Rear end needed replacing the oil was gooby and full of metal shavings. Truck still rides like crap it's gotta be a tire or rim and the tires are to new to buy more just gonna have to drive it.

Almost to the point I'd be will to sell my truck and get completely out of it. It's aggravated me that much. A buddy of mine drive my truck and he says he doesn't feel anything. The truck rides good he said and he has a year newer truck than mine.

I replaced my cab mounts and shocks this weekend, the mounts because they just looked bad. The shocks because I had them and can't remember when I did it last. I didn't know a thing was wrong with my ol rag till I drove it. I can hold it in the road with a finger on those wore two lane black tops. And the little noises in the cab are gone. Even that freaking door lock that has been driving me crazy. I know you have replaced your shocks, but what about the cab and hood mounts. I understand where you are coming from thou on the gonna ride it out or sell it. I would like to say don't sell it and give some body a good truck make them earn one

Cab shocks have been changed within the month I went from an oil to a gas and bought oil shocks but they are so stiff gonna return them and get a new set to put on this weekend. Truck has about 100000 on the over haul new 13 speed transmission new rear ends 90% on steer tires 70% + on drives new breaks shocks drums. It's a 1999 peterbilt 379 ext hood white in color a lot of chicken lights and chrome. I understand the making someone earn it but I've got a family now and a little girl and wife that means the world to me. Someone with the right amount of money can have it!!

It ought to be a heck of a rig. I understand about the family. I had to wait till my kids were grown to get the truck I have wanted. Well worth the wait

That's what we keep thinking and holding onto but here lately it's been on thing after another. The bounce has to be a tire or rim. I can't think of anything else it could be.

You know I just had another thought. You call it a bounce which is how i would describe a tire issue, as anything driveline is usually a drone in floor board. You could jack each tire up and spin them by hand, check for high spots or broken belts while they are turning. Also if they are balanced properly when they stop it will be just a steady stop. If they rock back and forth before settling you may have a balance issue. Also even if the kingpins are new check them again, I have seen many a sets installed and the shims at the top missed and have up and down slack at the axle cause a bounce. Also check for movement of the pin inside the axle beam. Even though that does not move and should not wear it does especially on the left. Kaiser makes a bushing to repair it, rather than replace the axle beam. Also don't worry about the shocks being to stiff. The stiffer the better, on that truck it will improve the ride, the softer the shock the more bounce it will create.
