I have a similar problem. I have a 1999 VNL64T built in 1998 with N14 celect plus. We got it as a starter truck. Its a fixer-upper, and one of its many problems is the instrument cluster. Bad connection, and dielectric grease doesn't fix it. Its also in very bad shape with broken bezel and screw holes. It is the 4 connector, 7 gauge version 1078800, and the only reasonably priced replacement is a 10 gauge version 85102013 for about $900.

I would love to have the extra gauges, but can I get it to work out of the box? What kind of issues am I looking at? Should I try to resolder and fix the old one? The truck isn't tagged yet, so driving to the dealer for an ecm flash isn't convenient right now.

(The air gauge cluster is still in the truck.)
