Update: kicked my dispatcher to the curve.
2 loads in 3 weeks, both with no backhaul.
Now I am about 90% sure she had me do 2 loads and while trying to keep the pay. 1st invoice she sent me stating she brokered it and had me billing her company.
Got a factoring company and they denied her bad credit and that she hasn’t paid them in the past.
So I ended up having invoicing this 2nd load with them directly without her.
I’ve been on DAT for a few days now. Most loads don’t have weight or length. The one’s that I do call get rejected for being new MC. 3 months, 6 months, today one said a year.
One broker called me without reading my new MC note, then realized he wasted his time lol.
Going to try another dispatch company...
1st week almost over on my own numbers as a hotshot

Invoice she sent to my factoring company. Didn’t add me on the email. I had to call them to see if she actually sent something.
Doesn’t even have the broker’s information to bill.
Literally put my “TO (my factoring company)”.

177 miles for $300? Am I missing something?
-
No one is actually being invoiced? By looking at this picture, who would you say is paying it out?
-
I have no clue. Almost seems like a page is missing?
-
That’s what I mean. I believe she made it look like something to make me think everything is all good, and she’s sending a real invoice to the broker making it payable to herself somehow.
The 1st load, over a week ago, she billed herself as the broker and I trusted her, but if she isn’t paying factoring companies, she #### sure not gonna pay me. -
Ya, I would think.it should have a name/company on the invoice of who is being billed...DouletTheDriver Thanks this.

Sorry you are having to deal with this situation. Many people have gone under dealing with individuals like this. You have got to find honest people to work with. A lot of times a broker who has worked with a dispatch service for several years can book business under a new authority with trust alone. You can not trust the person that “ works for you “ the good thing is you find this out in the beginning. People like this will give the whole industry a bad name.DouletTheDriver Thanks this.

Did you have any trucking experience prior to doing this? I drove a big rig and have my CDL and I've used that a few times now to talk brokers into giving me the load. Also how you handle yourself on the phones goes a long way..
What I do.. Is I call them and act like I'm a ####ing boss.. I call say.. "Hey I'm calling about that load from X city to Y city.. What's the rate on that? It doesn't matter what they say I always say hey can you go up by $100 on that? Then I start talking about details of the load like when it picks up, when it drops any specal loading /unloading stuff.. Then I say I think I need to get set up with you guys.. and at the very last I will say.. Hey you don't have any issues working with a newer company do you?
Essentially I bait them into a conversation and kinda give them the feel I know what I'm talking about and if I need to at the end I say hey man I have my CDL, I drove big rigs for 2 years ect.. I just decided to step off on my own and went with Hotshot trucks and simply have new numbers..
Anyway, I've gotten signed up to a few brokers who claim no one under 90 days.. You just have to talk to them and present yourself as you know what you are doing.. You know Fake it till you make it..
Ir doesn't work every time, yes I've been turned down after they saw under 90 days.. ect.. but I've still also gotten loads. It's all about persistence.. If a dispatcher can get you that load then you should be able to get it too..with in reason anyway..Lite bug and DouletTheDriver Thank this. -
I know, I’m upset but I know there are crooked people in the world. I’ll just move on with my head up!Lite bug Thanks this.
