    Hello everybody.

I've got 2.5 years experience, all of it pulling dry van trailers. A little less than 2 years of that was OTR with Schneider and Falcon Transport, and about .75 years with Eagle Express Lines doing a home every day run between Detroit and Cleveland.

I am based out of the Detroit area and I have not worked since October of 2016. I'm looking to go back over the road and was hoping you guys could give me a few recommendations about where I can go to earn some good money and have some relative comfort.

I have my tanker, hazmat, and doubles endorsements but have never used them. I'm open to any company that would train me in these areas, and I'm also open to learning flatbed. I have my 2 year medical card and am in good physical shape.

These are things I'm looking for:

    - NO driver facing camera
    - A fridge and an APU (or at least 1500mw inverters allowed)
    - Halfway decent pay
    - I'm not a fan of Northeast runs but can do them if necessary
    - I'd like to stay out for 1-2 months at a time. Home time is not important for me.
    - I'm not interested in teaming.

I have a few minor things on my MVR but nothing serious. None of the deal-breakers that are commonly listed on job ads. I have good reviews from my previous companies.

I basically just want to live out on the road for a while and work and earn some money in the meantime. Really I would enjoy not being ran to death but I realize that these companies want to make money.

If a company like this exists out there anywhere and they hire in my area please let me know. Thanks guys/gals.

    Detroit ?

    haul cars $$$$$...

If cars aren't your thing (being where you're at) I'd be on the phone with Van Kampen as mentioned above or Van Eerden..

I forgot about VanEerden and also NTB Trucking. NTB you have to deal with Meijiers though.I never had any problems delivering to Meijiers when I pulled reefers, but some drivers don't like it.

Also, since it looks like you haul cars, do you have any recommendations for car hauling companies? I've heard a lot about the seniority issues new drivers face when getting into car hauling. Is there any truth to that or is that the usual whining and complaining?

Edit: Beat me to the punch.

I've heard of that with the union companies (Cooper and Cassens) but I have never worked for either so I have no first hand experience.
