for about 4 weeks i have been driving and alley docking with a 2 axle truck. now that truck has a transmission problem so now i have to move to a 3 axle truck. i didnt really have a big problem docking with the 2 axle ill get it in 8/10 tries but now im struggling to dock this truck with the 3 axle im lucky to get it in 3-4/10 tries. So is there a big difference backing between the two?

Slight difference.
The bigger difference comes when you go from a daycab to a tandem axle sleeper, or a stretch frame.TheRedskinsWay Thanks this. -
Are you asking about a tridem trailer, opposed to a tandem?
Or the tractor going from single drive to two drives? -
Single drive to two drives.

I'm assumming it's the same make/model, so usually the wheelbase will be a bit longer, and it will take the tractor a little longer to turn, especially in reverse. You'll get used to it.
The truck I usually drive is a 4900SA day cab, turns great, forward or reverse. Then I get the other truck, T800 with sleeper, world of difference there. But after an hour or so, all is good.
I think you've already answered your own question.TheRedskinsWay Thanks this. -
the wheel nut just needs slight recalibration
wait til they give you a 53 foot trailer and teeny tiny yard to dock it in, or a set of "B-trains"
