Yes it is haunting Dragon. Something as simple as reaching for something can cause this. A driver can get comfortable over the years getting away with a bad decision. Then one day something like this happens. Construction, traffic and anywhere that is conjested requires 100% attention. Save the fiddling and multitasking for remote areas when you are by yourself.

That's a Western Star and most likely an experienced OO. I know the driver didn't mean it and what ever he was doing would have results like this. But it did. I've heard members on this forum, I can do this and I can that. Yes you can 99,999 times out of a million. This is that 1 that you never thought would happen. Something to think about.

I extend my condolences to the family of this trajedy.

    Big Don Thanks this.

Different view from that picture. My bad.

God, that's horrible. I have a dog bed just like that one too. They must of had their pet with them.

No trucker would look away long enough to not.ice traffic slowing ahead.
I suspecthat he briefly fell asleep.
(I am vulnerable to that, so I stop and sleep.)

I don't think so...looking away to find something behind the driver seat then reaching for that something...it only takes a few seconds at 60+!

rookietrucker, Big Don and THBatMan8 Thank this.
