I use the trucker path app on my android (pretty sure apple has it as well). It is free and you can put in a destination and it shows every truck stop, every rest area, and every scale (and if they are open or closed) between your starting point and destination. It has served me well when I get somewhere I haven't been and I get hungry and need to find a truck stop for some food.

Another one I use is trucker tools but it doesn't have the scale function or the map function like trucker path does.

Right on Gunner! Hands down, the best without a doubt. I've been running for two months with a Garmin Dezl, Rand 720 and Copilot trucks in a side by side (by side) comparison and Copilot is the winner by a long shot.
Edited to add, MyDat app for truck stops, scales, rest areas... I use it many times a day and couldn't work without it.

If you set google maps on, it gives you the option to have map/satellite (virtual) view. If you hit satellite and then choose the option for navigation you'll find yourself in the 21st century.
I always recommend people to get a big screen phone, is not easy to look at a cramped screen when you have had been driving the whole day and your eyes are fatigued

    Skydivedavec Thanks this.

I also use trucker path. I use petro and T/A app as well. And the one I find most important yet don't use all the time is the cat scale app. This app will show cat scales anywhere near you for those places like jersey and Delaware or pick ups were your not near an actual truck stop and off the interstate it comes in handy believe me.

    Skydivedavec Thanks this.

Roger that, Roger that. Cat Scales app is a useful tool, has come in quite handy for me too on a few occasions.
