Ya know, I'm a habitual seatbelt offender. That's a consequence I never thought of. Thanks

Do a web search on “ room to live”
Find the one from like 1971 or so. While mostly focused on automotive crashes, the concepts apply to trucks as well. It is from the 70’s so it’s a bit hokey. But it is accurate information and really still applies today.

I’ve lost a couple friends over the years who weren’t wearing seatbelts when they rolled their cars over. One was run over by another car and the other they found under the vehicle crushed.

Another friend who was wearing a seatbelt when he slammed into a huge elm tree..he died after being in a coma for 6 months..

As a dumb teenager I lost control of my Camaro in a curve and ended up in the passenger seat when the car finally stopped. Since that day I have never not worn a seatbelt.

Back when I was 21 and was invincible I landed between the dash and the passenger seat of a 379. I remember watching the pavement slide by a few inches from my face. For the last 25 years I’ve always had mine on. Funny how things like that can change your mind on wearing a seat belt.

All my old cars and trucks only have lap belts so it looks like I’m never wearing a seat belt to someone that doesn’t know any better.

Yikes....seatbelt ticket may be the worst one to get of the moving violations, mainly because that one is inexcusable.

Then again....no chains on your truck?! In Washington?! In November?! Where it's already snowed?! Ehhh how long you been driving?

I beg to differ. If Wash. is anything like Colorado, they have no sense of humor when it comes to no chains. Fines for CMVs include up to $1200 bucks, and if you close the roadway, I don't have to tell you what modern tow costs are, it escalates from there. I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy for someone who doesn't wear a seatbelt, OR go in the hills without chains. It's exactly why we have rescue teams, to save people from their own stupidity.
