I graduate in 2 weeks...I have been reading so much about Superior and I am really hoping I can get on. I live in SC and spoke with the terminal manager @ Greer and we had a nice conversation so keeping my fingers crossed. Phil told me to call as soon as I pass my cdl driving test. I already have tanker endorsement I passed HME and did my TSA background just waiting on that to come back. Any advice from anyone who has been there on hiring process in general?

    Thanks

Good luck. This should be a good time to get on. 2nd quarter is usually pretty busy.

Hiring process involves a driving test first then if you pass that they will set you up for the physical agility test they do now and a DOT physical. Physical agility test involves doing like 10 different things while they monitor your heart rate to make sure you won't pass out on the job. You have to stair step up and down for like a minute, carry some weights, walk on a balance beam, stoop under a ladder, couple push and pull exercises using a machine, and a couple more I can't remember but it is not hard.

ok...that doesn't sound too bad. Does Superior have a uniform policy like some companies?

I would not call it a uniform policy so to speak. They give us shirts and require us to wear them at the customers. You have to buy your own pants or jeans. They do not supply those although at one time they did give a pants allowance for you to buy jeans but our terminal does not do that anymore. I don't know about other terminals. They all seem to make there own rules...

So last night we did night driving at school and I enjoyed it. I actually got to pull a tanker (donated by Superior) and that was great. It was empty so I didn't get to feel the Surge but was happy I got to pull it. Have another night of driving tonight and hoping I am back pulling the tanker again. Next week is the last week of school...really hoping to get on with Superior.
