i have seen opportunities such as that, theyre very hard to obtain, you need the experience, the driving record, the endorsements, and you need to apply at the right time.

its sort of like winning the lottery it seems,im still searching.

Unemployment compensation needs to be verified. This can be done with a W-2, since unemployment compensation is taxable.

Trucking can care less about your past employment even if it means none for a new driver.

What they do care about is they can satisfy FMCSA requirements proving what you have done the past 10 years, 3 for a non-driver. They need proof you ain't running on a second CDL or trying to get one. Back in the old days it was nothing for a drunk to lose his CDL and he would go to the next state and get another one. That's why the rules were made. Today things are computerized, but they still have the rules.

Besides that, they look at your driving record and driving background. If you were sitting on the couch two years watching Sponge Bob Square Pants, they could care less as long as you can prove it. I had one job that wanted a notorized statement from my neighbor stating I was unemployed a month, lol.

If you can breathe, you can drive. It's after you get that CDL is what matters. Good luck!

Sounds promising. I'v spoken with guys from several schools today and its hasnt seemed like a big setback.
I'm waiting on paper work to see if I can get cash together to pay for class and at the same time I'm waiting to see if tdds fed loan comes threw.
even if it does I still need money to pay the bills around here wile I'm gone.

I'm trying to get things together quick bc things are going to start getting really ruff around here soon.
If loans dont happen Im also looking into ffe,tdi and also have spoken to the guy from driver solutions.
Central ref. sounds ok ,but I havent applied yet.
They are really far from here, but I guess that dosent matter much in this industry.
Any recomendations as to wich is better to go to ? I'm near chicago if that helps.
I havent found much info on tdi here . when I spoke to the salesman hes said they'r acredited so atleast theres that.

Talk to your State Unemployment Office and see if that have a Workforce Grant for Truck Driving Schools. It pays for the school in full. The only requirement is you must stay employed as a trucker for 2 years. If not, you must pay back the Grant. Many people who qualified for unemployment have benefited from the Workforce Grant Program. I know a lot of guys in Louisiana qualified after Katrina knocked the crap out of NOLA and jobs were literaly washed away.........
