Hi we own a small trucking company in GA and I am looking to hire a owner operator; I can keep you as busy as you want to be. I can book you 20,000 - 30,000 a month in freight if you like to run. As an owner operator you would make after fuel exp etc $1800 + week and some of our drivers make more. I need someone with a truck/trailer. Truck paper.com has excellent deals (18,000) for freightliners with less than 550,000/miles; and I can get you a reefer for 4,000 or a dry van for 2800. Let me know if this would be possible. 912-656-8933 or you can email me. If you work for a company as a company driver you will make 700-1100/week. Do not lease a truck because you will be paying 40,000 plus when all said and done. Contact me so we can talk.
Thanks,
Kim
Savannah, GA

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
20-30 thousand per mo in freight!!!!

She never mentioned units. Maybe it's 30,000 pounds, or kilograms, maybe it's boxes of freight. Other options could be: pesos, euros; distance- inches, feet, or meters traveled. Gallons, tons, metric tons, ounces, fluid ounces, newton-meters, foot-pounds, slugs... Tricks turned by a lizard...
So what is being offered here. 30k per month of what? No units for the 2k number either, is that the same unit as the 30?
I'm not even a rookie yet, so could anyone tell me the standard notation for a unit of bovine excrement? There's no way I can expect keep up if I don't know the proper terms.

Sorry about the first first figures; I wouldn't run for that either. This was just an example; depends on fuel etc. You would use this breakdown of any company. example 30,000 (cost to move freight) minus 30% for company operations which includes driver insurance and then minus fuel and the bottom line goes to the owner operator. So if you take $30,000-30%=$9000 (company) you get 21,000 then minus fuel 2000/wk=13,000 (bottom line) goes to the owner operator/driver if the owner operator doesn't drive and we hire a driver then the bottom line gets split 50/50. 6500 for the driver and 6500 for the owner operator. I hope this explains it better. The point I am trying to make is that I have access to lots and lots of freight and I can keep you as busy as you want to be.

Clear as mud, If you book me a $1000 load, how many dollars go to me, my truck, my trailer, my authority.
-
The guy I'm leased to take 12% of the gross and if I don't like the freight he is offering...I can book my own.
So far you're not impressing too many people here with the mumbers.Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
As I read this, you are paying 70% of the gross to the O/O. The O/O supplies his own trailer. The question is what else does the O/O supply, such as tag, permits, fuel taxes. Whose authority is the truck running under, and whose name and MC# is on the door, yours or the O/O.
How long until payment, any advances, and what type of freight. I notice your from Savanah. Is port freight involved, and does the driver need hazmat and a TWIC card.
These are important questions any O/O will want to know before getting involved. An ad with numbers does not mean anything unless there is a breakdown as to how the numbers are reached.bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Hi Kim ...........I am on disability but able to drive one week a month as a fill in driver.... if you have an owner operator interested here is my number Larry 336-512-9577

My company is World Transportation Logistics L.L.C. I provide the insurance 1 million liability and 1000,000 cargo, ifta. I have my authority Dot #, MC#, EIN, boc-3 agent, etc. The driver is responsible for registering his truck (IRP), daily fuel; the fuel comes out of the 70% and a fuel card is issued. You would get paid just like any normal employer; a week goes in the hole, then direct deposit every friday. Port freight out of Savannah isn't paying that well right now and so book OTR feight. I book reefers, dry vans (48 & 53), flat bed, step decks and removable goosenecks. I hope this explains everything. I was working for a trucking company and got them well on their way and no I have startem my own company. Let me know if you need anymore info.

Good Luck!

Depends on your fuel; you would subtract the fuel from the 1000.
