Has anyone looked at the possibility of wireless range extending. Either a range extender or some type of wifi router????? Taking the mobley range beyond the 30 foot limit.

I just jumped on this bandwagon. Ordered mine a few minutes ago from the AT&T site. Its supposed to ship in the next 2 days. I also ordered a USB adapter from Amazon. Hopefully they arrive at the same time.

NETGEAR - AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender Wall Plug - White

So i bought that range extender. I"m able to get about 400 feet now. Walking down the street. Over the standalone 30 feet. I can actually get my computer logged on now from the car. Where as before it wouldn't even find the mobley. Haven't had much luck being able to use the mobley at restaurants. So we'll see what happens tomorrow with the extender. If it works out. I'm seriously considering buying an additional for the motorcycle. ATT and Tmo are fairing better then Sprint and Verizon when it comes to the boonies on the motorcycle.

NOT impressed with the speeds though. I've had one good spot where it got 25 mbps down. Everywhere else has been 5 or less. It's nowhere close to verizon and sprint which has been clocking in around 50 mpbs to 75 mpbs.

Here's a video by a big time RV guy. He's a tech guy. near the end he shows the hidden micro-USB port in the Mobley as well as a router/range extender he uses.

The micro-USB port on the side of the Mobley does NOT power the Mobley. But you can use that, with the right cable, to connect the Mobley to a router which allows you to get around the 5 tethered device limit of the Mobley.

I was looking in to that kind of set up . It's a little more expensive and not practical for the bike. What I bought is fairly small. But then there's the invertor needed for power. So I'm thinking of options to use.

I will have my Mobley tomorrow but my power adapter is back ordered for a week or 2. Do these things fit the diagnostic port in a big truck?
