Out of Minneapolis you'd have to go north or south to head west since all the major roads are closed due to blowing snow.

well, we here in New England have mild temps, heavy rain and high winds. the temps will drop during the night, and hopefully the roads will be dry, but the DOT is ready to pre-treat the roads over night.

right now, the rain has subsided, as the winds have too. only about 2,000 (as of the last news update) have lost power, and a short time ago, at the very least, 1,500 got it back

just like the past 3-5 years, we will have mild then sub-zero temps, and severe wind chills until maybe about late January, then we will get slammed with snow into mid-February, but it'll melt, as the sun stays out longer and the temps rise again.
