have a 2000 Freightliner century Detroit 60 series yesterday I was replacing the hoses from left side of surge tank one runs to radiator other runs to passenger side I didn’t take picture before I removed them does any one know correct way they go the surge tank doesn’t have them side by side it has one high and one low I can’t find any photos online besides these and was wondering if it was correct ? This photo has bottom running to radiator and top going to passenger side

? You can see in the pic you attached that the lower hose goes to the radiator and the upper to the thermostat housing. I don't know for sure if it matters anyhow, but I wouldn't think so.

I think it matters because of the direction of flow. Into the top from the thermostat and out the bottom to the radiator. Same direction and locations,( top and bottom ) as the large hoses.

Mine are side by side like that and they both just dump in the expansion tank.
