    Hey I recently bought a 2000 Freightliner fld120 the motor Says 99 The gentleman I bought it from was running ELD exempt, what I want to know is can I put a ELD in it it has a 6 prong plug up and I see they sell the omnitracs with the six prong set up if anyone knows please help me out would like to take the truck over to Landstar

    Why would you run an eld when you don't have to? Makes no sense.

    No form and manor violations. Company leased to requires it. Easier and faster. Don't have to deal with adding up all your time and getting it wrong.
    Basically it's on/off duty change and forget about it. Don't have to deal with it every time you stop and do paperwork....

    If you are running legal, why would you not use it? If you are not running legal, you need to get out of the industry.
