speedyk Thanks this.

I have an old book here, it says 3.5 pounds, but that will be with the upright two piston style compressor. I think yours is too early for the Sanden type.

International has only been labeling freon quantities the last few years. There are no labels on this truck to show how much. The only label on the compressor is the recommend amount of oil.

If there is no label your guy will have to use his gauges to determine when the freon level is correct; this is tricky with 134a but it can be done.
The best case scenario is charging it on a triple digit day, when the low side consistently rises to 50-55 psi you are good. If it is cooler outside this will be too much freon so you shoot for a lower psi on the low side, I don't have a proven formula for knowing how much of a psi reduction to shoot for per 10 degrees of ambient temp reduction so I guess and hope for the best.
If it was 85 degrees on the day I charge I would stop when the low side was consistently hitting about 45 psi, then wait for a really hot day and hook the gauges up again to see how close I came.
