I have an issue much like this with a 99 N14. I lose throttle response when I shift into the next higher gear. After the shift, when I depress the throttle pedal nothing happens. If I keep pressing the throttle further after a second or two it will kick in hard with jolt. Not good. Ive learned to sense when the throttle is dead and let up so it doesnt jolt (if I catch it), then press the clutch in, hit the throttle, which now responds, then let out clutch and am now able to control the throttle. It is a pita and Id like to get it fixed. I dont want to pay for a new ecm though. Where is that ecm place?
