2002 Volvo w/mercedes engine

    Truck runs good when running but will not engage the starter motor. Have checked all fuses in the dash with no luck. Replaced the starter as well, nothing. Jumper wire will engage the starter and turn engine but still no start. ECM wire IS hooked up in battery box and fuse is good.

    So many questions before we can even answer the question. I believe a 2002 Volvo was the wg body style and not sure if the mercedees was on market yet? Was this a engine transplant into a Volvo that originally had another power plant in it? Has the engine ran in this truck before then decided not to start?

    In the US market , the Benz engine was not a factory engine from Volvo . Back then Volvo, Detroit , Cat , or Cummins.
