Incase this info can help anyone else... This is the shaft I used. (See picture)
I googled the Dana # and it says it's been replaced by # 916657-67SX. And it looks like those shafts can be found new online for about $450. Much better than the dealers quote of $1200. I'll be into my rebuilt used one for about $300.
