I would assume most will just buy an elog...
Others like me will walk away for good and let you new breeders have it..

Lime Hauler and Oxbow Thank this.

Ever hear the phrase, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease"? When those drivers are specifically operating those motor years to skirt or violate HOS guidelines it becomes a larger issue.

Only if "those drivers" have safety problems. I suspect the new guys will still have worse safety records...elogs or not.

you can't make a mechanical engine plug data link into a e-log eobr's will work yes but not in the wording of the elog law, the exemption won't change what may change is the ability to build a glider with a non e-log compatible engine. plus the number of people that talk about doing it vrs the number of people who actually do swap engines to avoid e logs are totally different things, your talking grains of sand on a beach.

Does anyone know if a 3406e can accept an ELD? After all, you can read codes from its ecm.

I think that is more a PA thing than Federal. PA gets to be a real PITA about modifying existing vehicles and passing state inspections.

Are your trucks actually gliders or are they regular trucks that you swapped engines?

    Tall Mike Thanks this.
