Just a side note. A diesel engine has no ignition. When a diesel engine is running the only way to stop it is to cut off the fuel supply. On a small diesel engine it's shut off by the fuel/run solenoid

Key 12v+ taken from ECM via ignition switch shuts engine down. (no power to ECM cuts off injector solenoids etc.)

Hi guys I would like to thank u all for your great help n advise .....the issue is found and solved .....the ignition switch wiring was getting ground buy touching some after market modification that previous owner might have done behind the dash .......All the mechanic had to do was to turn the ignition switch clockwise a little like half Inch and the truck immediately started turning of and on .thank u all once againQUALITYTRUCK Thanks this.

Its been awhile since this post but THANK YOU!!. I came outside tonight to find my truck ign on and the low air alarm. I cleaned every fuse and connection in the box the past 4 hours with no progress. after I found the PDM I popped the cover by accident and the ign went off

Just had the same problem. Woken by air pressure warning beeper. Started truck and wouldn't shut off. Read this thread and pulled 10 amp relay truck shut off. It started raining while I was sleeping. The b pillar is soaked inside. Any idea where the water comes from? Seems to be a lot in there.
