2006 387 mirror temp shuts off?!?!?

My mirror temp has either changed to celius or shut off on me a couple times now somewhat randomly like after being shut off and getting washed. It's kind of a pain to pull the mirror apart everytime and change the mode back with the button on the mirror. So my question is I thought I heard or read somewhere u can change it some other way does anyone have any ideas???

i had the same problem on my 2005.turn the key to on position for 5 sec then cover eye on mirror for 5 sec. it should work or repeat to change from celcius to fairiheit.
