Hey yesterday I installed a brand new A/c compressor filled the system with gas and oil and there are no leaks in the system. However the A/c compressor does not start? My mechanic says that it is not hot enough outside but the temperature is around 60 degrees Fahrenheit and i guess the compressor should start. Anyone knows what could be the problem? thanks

Put this on the agriculture forum. They should have stuck to balers and harvesters.

Check the fuse. Swap the relay with another one. Jump the pressure switch. If none of those do it international sometimes put a thermocouple by ac core.

Lots of reasons for it to not work. Temperature outside doesn't matter. It will run if everything is working. See if it has an APADS module bolted to the coolant reservoir.

Most ac systems will run even if it's below freezing if you have the defrost on. It helps take the moisture out of the air to clear up windshield quicker.
