90% of the time the problem is outside. I would start with that main harness from the right side of the firewall and check it inch by inch to the ECM. Don't be afraid to cut every single zip tie and unwrap all the electrical tap to inspect the wiring. The datalink is normally black pair of twisted wires. I bet you have some green somewhere!

I will probably leave work on it tomorrow when the temperatures get a little bit warmer for now I use my Garmin to keep track of my miles and time during the day. The mileage does accumulate during the day but at various times everything will zero out but when it comes back up I can see that mileage has accumulated. Thank you for your comebacks though I will look into this and have a good weekend broHeavyd Thanks this.

I have been having the exact same problem. When it's cold or snowing my ABS light comes on. Get too warmer temps, light goes off. I don't know much about wiring. I think it's something to do with the computer.

I had cat look at mine they said it was the ABS modular. Going to order a new one from international when I get home. I hope this fix the problem.
9400i Thanks this. -
Thank you for your input. It has recently started being off more than on! I may look into the abs system, as it was showing fault codes previously, that I finally figured out how to clear those with the abs tester switch. But right now it is still off

Thank you for posting this link. I just bought one for the truck, and 2 of the 'E' models for the family vehicles.
They look like they will display a lot of info that I wish I had gauges for on the cars.
I'm still looking to find out why my 'No Datalink" stays illuminated on the big truck. I bought a used instrument cluster (tach-speedo) and it does the same thing here too. I am currently looking into a suggestion from another commentor about a relation between the ABS module, and the 'No Datalink.
Thanks again for the link. -
So here's a quick update. I put my new ScanGaugeD on my truck last week and as soon as I did
all of my gauges on the dash came back to life. My 'NoDataLink' error message disappeared and has not been seen since! If I take it off it goes back to AFU !!
I give the ScanGaugeD a HUGE thumbs up because of all the info I can now see and apparently it must have completed a messed up circuit,or something ???
I also figured out that the PID descriptor in the fault message is the code you have to look up to get an idea
for what is throwing a code. Mine happens to be a shorted/uncalibrated actuator on my VGT.Heavyd Thanks this. -
This 0434 code is a pain
