On my Columbia the hood latches won’t reach, the hood has slid forward. I’ve tried to find an adjustment but not had any luck. You can see the gap from the hood and the cab in the picture. It also looks like the headlights are sitting back too far, you can see a gap between the headlight and hood. I don’t know if the hood is separating and getting bad or if it can be adjusted. Has anyone else’s hood done this and what is the solution to fixing it? Thank you.

Open the hood, inspect the hinges where the hood attaches to the front frame. They could be worn out and sloppy, or loose, or pulling away from the hood, etc.

There’s a trick to “opening “ the latch hinge to extend the hook portion far enough to catch. At the top of the hook, pull it down/outwards, latch will extend. Might be your problem. I’m new to the latches. Always had trouble till I figured it out.
