egr stuck open..... then with oil pressure it moves to closed position. remove and inspect it. may be ash (easy to clean) may be worn mechanically

    Hi Amedina,

I'm assuming it's a S 60 have you checked the fuel press and the CAC ? If that all good eliminate the EGR & VNT turbo. Take it to Montréal so the guys at Diesel can do the update.

You'll never believe it the same engine. No more 39 codes ever.

are you sure EMC power supply is good. There were issues with bad junction near ECM (I say about DDEC-V) and fuses in battery box

Man, talk about using the shotgun approach to fix things.

Bite the bullet and take it to a certified detroit dealer. Have you mechanics checked the proper operation of the vpods? This is most likely the culprit.

V pods controls the turbo VNT, also have them replace the V Pod harness

if you have an air supply problem turning off egr will not cure it you need to check your air supply to the v pod and make sure it is a dedicated air supply as some air lines are tee'd off or have a press valve in them and as the unit ages it may restrict air to the turbo actuator.it needs 72 psi at the turbo to operate properly .thats assuming your turbo ,v-pod and egr valve are all working correctly.
