All the fuses were good. Is there a test for the IDM to see if it's working?

You would use the correct diagnostic software to see if it is communicating and logging any codes and exercise the injectors with it.

I was hoping there was a backyard way of checking the IDM. Going to cost some bucks to find out this problem.

I think backyard way is to swap with a good known IDM.

There are 2 connectors by the starter one has 3 wires in it and one has 2 wires in it these are main powers and grounds for ECM and IDM, and transmission, will be less wires if it is a manual, they are very bad about getting moisture in them and having a loose connection I have also had them before when the injector won’t buzz at key on and I had to tighten up the connectors in the fuse holders in the battery box, but if the engine is turning over then you know the ECM is good because that ECM supplies the ground to the starter relay. If all that is good and the injectors aren’t buzzing at initial key on it is highly likely the IDM is failed

You can also Jump pin 87 and 30
On the IDM relay in the under hood fuse box and try to start it, the wires that go to that fuse box are also bad about rubbing underneath

You are right on the money on the loose connections. We paid the bucks for a tech to come out and scan the truck. He said ECM and IDM were not talking to each other. He said the other codes were from sensors downstream of the IDM. He believed the IDM was toast. Last night we pulled the IDM.
Loose connection on the ECU. Previous owner lost the clip. He just pushed the plug back in. When we were removing the valve cover we had to move the wiring. That was enough to pop the connection loose. We put it back in, temporarily hooked up the IDM and it started!
Local IH dealer couldn't find a clip for us so plans are to silicone the plug back in.
    Thanks everyone for your help!

IDM is bolted to the ECM on the driver side rear of the engine close to the back. You will have to remove fender, likely dog house too, or jack up the cab. Check the fuses and connections in the battery box as well as the connectors by the starter , if you don’t hear the injectors buzz when you first key on
