I have no idea why this is happening, but it was sudden. A few days ago I was doing some paperwork and the front interior lights just went out. Along with that my door chime no longer works. No problem, I carry spare fuses. I take out the fuse, yup, definitely blown. I put in a new 20 amp fuse, and it sparked and went out immediately. So did the next two. At this point I figured something's up so I didn't bother trying again, but I don't even know where to start. Ideas?

You have a short! The first thing I would check would be the light bulbs. They can blow and the filament fall down into the base and short out. You could also have a short where a wire has rubbed through and is touching metal. Look for where the harness makes a hard bend around or through a metal bracket or the like. Have there been any interior mods? I would check them very close as well. Shorts can be very hard to find. A short locator can help. Good luck

Do you have a spot light ?
its pretty common for the wires at the switch to get twisted
and cause dome light issues.Do check all the front cab bulbs first, likely to be one of them on the left side of the cab. -
The interior is stock, all the interior lights were working properly until the fuse blew, I do have spot lights on a separate circuit and they work fine.

also ck your door switchs and wiring that goes to them.

My 08 has self dimming interior lights, the lights slowly go down after you close the door. Mine have been giving me some trouble and i think it is the rheostat/dimmer. I originally thought it was the door switch but that did not cure my problem. Good Luck!

Well now my spotlights quit working on top of the interior light issue. Found out that I have a water leak in my roof around the center horn mount. Fixed that but it's still blowing fuses. Maybe the water damage had something to do with this?
