My truck has brand new batteries, real good ground yet every now and than it will not crank.I try and try nothing.mash the clutch all the way in nothing.waited 10 minutes or so ,my buddy jumped in, mash the clutch in truck started .Killed the engine ,crank no problem all good.Untill next time it will act again.
(My truck will start clutch in or out, shifter out of gear )
Question :Is there some sort of a switch in the clutch pedal will do this? Or any Idea why Thanks for the HELP.

I've had this happen s couple times. Turn the key and nothing happens after some study online and YouTube I've learned how the starter relay works. I'm talking about the one on the firewall. Next time it happens leave the truck out of fear and the key on. Find the relay and using a large flat screwdriver jump the two large posts on the relay. If the motor turns over, the relay is bad or going bad. Pretty inexpensive part. About $30 and easy to change
TURKER Thanks this. -
If not the relay, then the starter solenoid itself could be on its way out. I know a guy in Clayton who could test it for you if you're interested.

We tried the take out the starter, broke one bolt loosened one.but can get the top bolt free no matter how we tried. -
Let me call him and get the okay. He wrenches, and does some hiring out, but it's mostly on his own fleet of dump trucks.
when I have that problem, I put the box end of my combination wrench on it, put a cheater pipe over the other end, and just have at it with a 4 lb. mini sledge. Extensions cost you breaking torque - especially if you're using multiple extensions. Same with the bolts on the bottom - put the box end of my wrench on it, and kick the living dog piss out of it. -
note these posts on here a few months old. If anybody is watching this thread would describe a story which I think may be bit related to above. Thx
