My 2006 KW has the center pin of the trailer connector (aux power) powered constantly when the key is on.
I need to pull a 4 axle trailer for a week that uses this circuit for the lift axle. Is there an easy way to make the center pin switchable?

There probably is and someone will be along shortly asking for your VIN number to get you a wiring diagram. My 2017 Pete was the same way and I had the dealer make it switched before I took delivery of the truck.

Before trailers with anti- lock brakes we did this with some IHC's. Took the wire the the hook up light and ran it to center of the 7 way plug on the back of the cab.
