2006 VNL 670 Flasher location

    I need to change the flasher out on a 2006 VNL 670 but have no idea where it is. I have changed to LED tail lights and want to put the low voltage flasher in vs the factory installed to get rid of the fault code. I do not want to use the resistors because they did not eliminate the code.All they did was make the flasher unit stop flashing so quickly.I hear it behind the Speedo and RPM cluster but do I have to take that all apart just to find/replace it?

    You should be able to access from under the steering wheel...above the pedals.

    flasher is built in to headlight switch.if you switch to l.e.d. you must have lcm re-programmed from dealer or someone with vcads on laptop.good luck.

    That is true , you can not add the cowboy goodies with out sometimes having to do the LCM as well

    This I did not know. I tried to add them a couple months ago without any luck

    I have 06, Volvo and and added new L.E.D Tail lights and connected both lights on same wires and old lights kept inside the chassis with zip ties,, Its work s fine from couple months..

    No flasher. MID 216 - LCM must be reprogrammed for LED

    I recently got my CDL and am getting my dad 2004 Volvo VNL ready so I can drive it. Along with some other things I got a pair of LED tail/stop/turn lights from the parts store and got the codes. I have access to a laptop with nexiq link and the newest version of Premium Tech Tool. How can I reprogram it for the LED lights?

    You need Dev2tool, else programming is limited, so use bulbs
