I drive a 2006 Volvo 780 with a Volvo D12. After going up a hill that required down shifting as I start going down hill the accelerator stops working, I step on it and it does nothing with the truck running going down the road. I have to shut the engine off and start it up again for it to work also it doesn't do it all the time. If any body has had some thing like this happen or can give me any pointers on what to look for it would be very much appreciated.. thanks for any feed back..

Check the TPS sensor.(Throttle Positioning sensor) I believe they only sell the whole thing now. It's your throttle peddle. Just unbolts and plugs in. It's a start anyway.
