2007 pete 386 question

I just bought a 386. It has a thing in the bunk called a smx ir. I think it is some sort of bunk heater thermostat. Can anyone tell me how to use it or turn it on. It also came with a remote, sort of like a keyless entry remote. The company on the back of it is called aqua. Does anyone know what it would be for. Thanks.
