Hi there, I have a 2007 peterbuilt daycab with the ISX 15L engine. In slippery conditions such as ice or snow or mud, the ATC cuts the power out. The ATC switch flashes when this happens. Pushing the switch or even holding it on doesn't seem to even temporarily disable it. Is there anyway of permanently disabling it so that it will never come on again?

If all you care about is the engine derate, you can keep the traction control and disable the derate in the ABS parameters. You most likely have a Bendix EC-60. You'll need the A-Com software, all you need to do is go to the configure screen find the "ATC" drop down menu. You'll have 4 options, "Not Controlled", "Brake", "Engine", "Brake and Engine". Yours should be the default of "Brake and Engine". If you set it for "Brake" only, it will still have traction control, but not derate the engine.

A local mechanic unplugged an abs censor a couple days ago and now there is now power cut out and we can keep spinning if need be. Only issue is that now there is no abs but if were ever in the city with the truck, I might see about getting the dealer to unprogram it so the abs will work again.
