2008 isx overboost when cold out

Hey guys, like the title says I have a 2008 isx deleted with stock turbo and when it gets cold out I creat more boost than normal, the other day it was -30 and I was getting about 45 psi 5 more psi than normal and yesterday-20 with wind in was hitting 42 43 psi. I know that cold air is easier to create boost but didnt think would effect this so my question is this bad for my motor? I have been playing with the throttle so it doesn't over boost or atleast over boost for a long period. Also had anyone changed these turbos to straight turbos without the vgt and if so have you had anyluck with it and what kind of turbo did you use? Thanks guys have a good day.
