Hey there. I have a 2009 international workstar 7600. I've taken this truck to numerous mechanics and no one can figure out my problems.
Mostly while sitting at an idle or going very slowly the ABS and stop engine light will come on, truck doesn't shut off but I lose throttle.
The regen light comes on when it doesn't need to regen.
My temp gauge is up and down.
And the j brake doesn't always work, will sometimes go out hitting bumps on the road.
Had anyone had these problems as well? If so what did you guys do to fix it? Thank yall in advance!

My best guess is a corroded ground somewhere or corrosion in the wiring harnesses.
IH Truck Guy and RustyBolt Thank this. -
Hulld Thanks this.

Yes, electrical gremlin there. First thing I would do is check your cab and battery grounds. I would then check to see what the engine, abs and body controller are logging for codes and see if there is anything in common like a common connector or grounding point.
Hulld, spsauerland, IH Truck Guy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Wonder how many of these fancy harnesses are sold every year maxxforce DT 2013 durastar.Tombstone69 and Hulld Thank this. -
With the amounts of road salt and liquid calcium they use near where I live your lucky to get two years before electrical problems occur.
This mixture is almost as corrosive as battery acid causing
consumers and tax payers literally billions of dollars of damage to vehicles and bridges.
Why are all the environmentalists silent as the government dumps these contaminates by the ton on our road ways causing contaminated run off in to streems and rivers?
In this day of technology there has to be a better way.Tombstone69 and Wannabe tech Thank this. -
International,at one time built a strong, problem free truck, not so much anymore. It seems to me they've gone the way of Fomoco and are on the verge of teching themselves right out of business. I mean, no one wants a truck that's unreliable, JMO, I'll shut up now.
Wannabe tech Thanks this. -
Thank you everyone. Im going to get started checking electrical. Hopefully it helps!

When i went to his yard, I found his ACM on his volvo had the connector corroded to it, plug wouldnt even come off. I dont have VCADs so i told him your at the mercy of the dealer.
The volvo dealership in romulus Michigan replaced 7000k worth of wire harnesses, didnt bother to hunt down bad wires, or fix the ACM connections. Went all the way to the ECM with new harnesses.
STILL HAS ISSUES, but it regens now.
my shop is next to a junkyard outside of detroit i never seen so many 7 year old trucks in my life!
Software is costly, parts prices are threw the roof, nobody makes any good aftermarket parts anymore or the parts we really need. Dealerships treat me like ####, because at the end of the day me as a independent guy are there enemy, even though, i try to always be nice to the dealers parts guys.
Back in the day dealers offered free classes, did out reach, would let you talk to there mechanics when you had a question, the parts guys where educated in there brand of parts.
At international, i asked the parts guy about parts for the downstream injection Unit, gave him the VIN location type of emissions exhaust, he gets confused, tells me ill email you a picture, he sends me figure image in my email of the DPF unit. It took 3 hours for him to get my part ,after my first callAttached Files:
