2009 western star drivers mirror replacement

    Working on a 2009 4900 western star, the drivers side mirror is cracked and not sure how to change it. There is a chrome back with plastic then the mirror. There are two caps on the chrome piece but when you take them off what ever is in there is so corroded that I don't know what it is. I can tell from the new mirror that it slides into place just not sure how the old one comes off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Tilt mirror all way down then just grab it and slide it up..

    It comes off from the front. No need to take anything apart.
