I have a 2010 Freightliner Cascadia 125 . I have been getting these 3 codes:
SA 71 SPN 520409 FMI 3
SA 71 SPN 520604 FMI 3
SA 71 SPN 520407 FMI 3
I know those have to do with trailer lights being shorted etc and the advertising light.... this happens with multiple trailers. Anyone else see this? I haven't changed the power cord yet - will do that next.

I guess I missed this post.
71/520409/3--Trailer turn lamp left: Fuse 5 - Voltage above normal, or shorted to high source
71/520604/3--Trailer stop lamps: Fuse 12 - Voltage above normal, or shorted to high source
71/520407/3--Trailer turn lamp right: Fuse 8 - Voltage above normal, or shorted to high source
I'd check your wiring from the SAMCHASS primary recepticle to the 7-way connector. Possible short circuit. Does this happen regardless if you connect to a trailer? Or only connecting 7-way to a trailer? What about replacing the trailer cord?
Any updates? -
Replaced the chord and same result. Where is the SAMCHASS recepticle? It only happens when connected to a trailer.

I'm not sure if your truck has a PLC filter or not for the blue center wire. The intermediate connectors will be BOC just before they connect to the external 7-way.
The connector of the SAMCHASS you need to be concerned with is X55-2,3,4 and X53-7,9. Then look for the connector in between. Since the FMI is 3, I'm wondering if something is going on with shorting to the center 7 pin.tallmon Thanks this. -
Thanks - I'll take a look at that...
