Everyone agrees that it's not legal to do.
What people are suggesting is removing them to avoid dealing with the issues that you are dealing with, which is EGR related issues. Mainly the argument of warranty vs. cost of continuing to run with failing components. Fuel economy is another reason to support the delete of EGR & DPF. That cost is over looked!! Take your truck for example, you may lose .5-1 mpg, maybe more with a faulty system, but continue to run without a actual break down, changing parts in the process that don't need to be changed, trying to correct the loss of fuel economy, in the end those EGR components will fail, and your out even more money.
