hi all, i have a 2010 prostar with cummins isx. ive searched every thread and tried almost everything. going down the road i was getting transmission faults, speedo going crazy. i was able to limp slowly stuck on second gear to a truckstop. now the truck cranks but it wont start. insite does not connect to pull the codes but was able to get codes from DLB. could a bad ignition switch cause this? ecm? i connected a power probe at pin 39 on oem connector. but not sure if thats the way to check it. to load test pin 39 with a bulb, do i put one end on the pin and the other on any ground? thanks guys IMG_1960.JPG

Ignition switch is not likely as all it does is trigger relays. If a relay was bad, you would have several sections of the truck not working. Pin 39 is your ignition input to the ECM. At key on, there should be 12 volts at this pin, and yes, you should be able to light a fog light or something with it. Connect your pin to a lead on a bulb, and then connect the other bulb lead to ground to complete the circuit.
