2011 Cascadia DD15 with EGR, DPF, and SCR

Mechanically this engine is good, but parts of fuel system are expenceve, but more reliable comparing with MAN/International CRD system (really they use bosch MS7).

wiring is thin, some broken wires issues if you operate truck on terrain ore on bad roads.

I know new engines suck when it comes for pulling, I know you have to down shift alot.
But dont you get good mpg at least?
I am in process of buying truck right now. I want older truck , like 2002 . I think they are more dependable .
but do scales really pull over people and check your engine for oil leaks?????

 

Hi I have 450HP DD15 CASCADIA 2011.Tires super single .10spead ratio 3.36 and I haul light loads and I have only 6.9 or 7 mpg.rpm 1300 speed 64-65 I think I should have a bether milage.thanks for answers.mike
