I bought a set of aftermarket H.I.D lights. I installed them but they wont come on with the headlight switch. I have to turn the headlights on, then disconnect the HID lights, then plug them back in for them to work. I was told the Light Control Module needed to be reprogrammed. I have access to the Freightliner body control program but I was wondering where I could find what needs to be changed. Thank you for your help in advance.

I think you're confused. Cascadias utilize SAMCHASSIS for the headlight function. If your truck was originally outfitted with incandescent headlights, it will interpret the resistance of such typical bulbs. Since your modifying your truck, the SAMCHASSIS will not know exactly how to interpret you HID setup.

Someone on here a while ago said:
If you shutoff-disconnect the batteries, wait about 15 minutes, re-energize the power, the Sam-module will adapt to the new headlights power requirements.
Don't know for sure that it works, someone else went from halogens to LED headlight and had a similar issue, this seemed to work for them.darkpony02 Thanks this. -
I'm not familiar with SAM CHASSIS. I'll try cutting power for 15 minutes. Luckily I have a switch that cuts all the power.

Signal detect Actuation Module. Use to be you flipped on a switch to turn on a light. Now you hit a switch, it tells the SAM computer to turn on light.
Sounds kind of silly, but it allows for way less wiring under the dash. Basically only two wires go to all of the switches, and two wires handle all of the lighting. Plus all of the other accessories.
